These lamps are used in the scientific, medical and audiovisual fields (fluorescent microscopy and endoscopy, micro-lithography, optic fiber, holograms reproduction, projection). These lamps work on alternative current, and considering the manufacturing limits, steady selfs may not be used. Therefore, the selfs have two plugs, L1/L2, for the two lamps functioning ranges. The H200W/4 must only be connected to the selfs L1 plug.

Safety advice
Because of their high luminance, UV radiation and high internal pressure (when hot) HBO lamps may only be operated in enclosed lamp casings specially constructed for the purpose. Mercury is released if the lamp breaks. Special safety  precautions must be taken. More information is available on request or can be found in the leaflet included with the lamp or in the operating instructions.
